I specialise in mosaics made with discarded materials – metal, wood, ceramic, glass, shells, building materials etc. Mosaic classes in Mexico turned my attention even more to permanent outdoor structures using discarded materials. The construction industry has allowed me access to a myriad of materials which would otherwise end up in landfill. I want to spread the word about how easy it is to salvage and turn unwanted, wasted materials into beautiful art.
8-9 May 2010 I will be teaching mosaic art from recycled materials at Mohawk College.
From 26-30 July 2010 I will be running a week long course at the studio for the Dundas Valley School of Art. To register see DVSA site
